Compared with galvanized coating, nickel coating wire mesh cable tray will not generate whiskers, as its growth mechanism is a layered growth without crystal orientation, forming the uniform film with high density which could eliminate the safety hazard caused by zinc whiskers. This is the most important feture for this data center cable tray design.

Electroplating and hot dip galvanizing bring high energy consumption and high pollution. Under the environmental protection policy by government, the galvanizing suppliers are limited for production and not able to secure the order demand.
